Visit to the Bunnahabhain Distillery
Photo report.
Continuing last posts relating to Islay (e.g. A visit to the Ardbeg Distillery) today photos from a visit to the Bunnahabhain Distillery. This is the northernmost distillery on the island, close to Port Askaig and Caol Ila. A narrow and winding lane leads to this place, giving a lot of emotions while driving.
Distillery itself is left in a fairly natural form, without any big marketing touch, there is no separate Visitior’s Centre either. On the other hand, there is everything you need to produce a good whisky. Combined with the beautiful coastline it has its charm. I have fond memories of this visit and would be happy to come back here again sometime.
I invite you to my photo report.
Scoring is based on my impressions and feelings, so its character is of course subjective.
