Auchentoshan 10 years old
The Royal Burgh of Lanark.
Previously I had here the regular version of Auchentoshan, it was 12 years old, now something more unusual. Auchentoshan 10 years old The Royal Burgh of Lanark, 40% ABV, bottled in ’90, in a ceramic bottle. Today it is difficult to obtain, I came across it by chance in the Dom Whisky.
N: fresh, very gentle, a little touch of vegetables, fruits: oranges, grapefruits, peaches and bananas, after some time I get Ritters Sport chocolates with rum;
T: also mild, there are the fruits, oranges and peaches, slight sparking in the mouth, then I have traces of raisins;
F: medium length with raisins and grapefruit.
Score: 82.
Typical Lowlander, light, pleasant and enjoyable.
Scoring is based on my impressions and feelings, so its character is of course subjective.
