Talisker Skye
NAS from Isle of Skye […]
From the Isle of Skye we had here Talisker 57 North, earlier classic 10 years old, also I posted a report from the visit to the distillery. For today, I prepared Talisker Skye, another NAS (no age statement), fortunately bottled at 45.8% ABV. N: still in the bottle, somewhat peat with smoked fish - this is a good prediction; you have to fill a glass - first alcoholic breeze, which clears quickly as breeze should, then a bit sweet - biscuits maybe, cooked apples, furthermore peat accents, smoked fish, fishing nets, brine, sea air, not particularly comprehensive and versatile but pleasant; S: in taste the elements of young alcohol are more noticeable, there is quite a lot sparking on the tongue and warming up, you have to get through it, a little vanilla, peat emerge in the background, more and more wood, ginger, bitterness, gets dryer with the time; F: even long, with a large dose of wood, dry. Score: 77. Talisker Skye has been added to the collection. The pleasant aroma characterizes it, though not particularly rich. The taste is staying behind. Such a charm of the NAS, you cannot have everything, although in general it is decent.
