Beczki po sherry i torf […]

Ten wpis miałem umieścić już w kwietniu, gdyż butelkę Bowmore 10 years old Dark & Intense, 40% ABV, kupiłem właśnie wtedy, podczas pobytu w Kito w Japonii. Do boju!!!

    Photo report

After the last post about Bowmore Tempest 10 years old Batch VI it is worth, if only for a moment, to move to the place of its creation, which I visited during last years stay on Islay. I was there the second time, probably not the last ;) Without any further ado, I invite you to a photo report from a visit to the Bowmore Distillery. My favourite Bowmore series

It seems that the Bowmore 10 years old Tempest series has adopted well and we have another edition. There are Batch 3 and V already on the blog and today I have in my glass Batch VI. Both 3 and VI I bought during visits to the distillery. Tempest arouses my smile from the very first glance. Natural color, unchillfiltered, cask strength 54.9% ABV, first fill bourbon barrels. What more could you want? This is obviously a rhetorical question. And ... one more thing, of which today we should...

To shop for shoes, and return with whisky.

We already have an autumn, so I went to the stores to get the right shoes. I do not like walking around the shops, so I bought the shoes quickly. On the way out I came across a whisky shop, there I spent much more time. Bowmore 10 years old Tempest Batch V looked at me with puppy eyes, so I had to take it home. What have we got here? 10 years old, first fill Bourbon barrels, non chillfiltered, natural colour and cask strength, or rather batch strength – 55,9% ABV. [caption...

    Whisky presentation as I like

The last post in the mini-series of Bowmore I am devoting to the most interesting one to date, Bowmore 10 years old Tempest. It is a Batch 3 of this release and like the previous it is characterized by a natural presentation. So we have a natural color, unchillfiltered and 55.6% ABV. The bottle I bought during a visit to the distillery on Islay, so I have the additional sentiment to it. [caption id=attachment_3075 align=alignnone width=801] Bowmore 10 years old Tempest Batch...

    Edition for Travel Retail

Continuing the mini-series of Bowmore, without unnecessary descriptions lets move on to the Bowmore 15 years old Mariner. It is worth to write about it as Bowmore is introducing new editions for the Travel Retail, so Enigma and Mariner will be replaced. [caption id=attachment_3061 align=alignnone width=801] Bowmore 15 years old Mariner[/caption] N: sea salt, sea air, light peat, seaweed and fishing nets, with a time sweeter notes are breaking through, a bit of caramel,...

    Edition for Travel Retail

After describing visit to Bowmore distillery on Islay, Bowmore Legend tasting impressions and of course trying Bowmore 1968 31 years old at the Whisky Live Paris 2013, we should go deeper into the subject and refer to the next versions of the whisky. Thus, may I present Bowmore 12 years old Enigma, edition offered mainly in Travel Retail, but also from time to time available in other places. The advantage of many versions of whisky in Travel Retail is a 1 liter bottle and once attractive...

    Tasting collectable whiskies

During the Whisky Live Paris 2013 there was the opportunity to taste some rare and therefore collectable single malts. Whisky was poured by Serge Valentin. good price single malt

Single malt market in Poland is constantly growing, as evidenced by increasing its availability in different stores. Competition should encourage lower prices, which will allow a larger group of society to enjoy tasting the water of life and increase demand. One of markets has recently become a part of such a trend, as you can find there whisky Bowmore Legend for 99.99 PLN. Single malt for the price seems quite a good deal.
